Zoya Julie Nail Lacquer lavender is a great color for summer and spring this year. The color can be described as soft metallic purple which allows for full-coverage. It contains a delicate white shimmer with a neutral undertones. However, it is essentially a light-medium lavender color.
Contents:
Includes Nitrocellulose, Acetyl Tributyl Citrate, Butyl Acetate, Ethyl Acetate and Isopropyl Alcohol among other ingredients, as part of Zoya’s Formula.
Review:
The lacquer goes onto the nails very well, it is smooth and does not allow for any streaking, pooling or bubbling. With two layers of polish it becomes opaque, with an evenly distributed shimmer. The polish costs USD 8, which is quite reasonable for the kind of job it does. This color was earlier created specifically for designer Zang Toi, as a runway shade. Most nail-polish are toxic and give out an odor, but Julie is quite easy on the senses and not as heavy.
Pros:
The shimmer appears to be suspended in the base color, which gives it a great effect. The texture is not too thick or too thin. This allows for an even spread and a sleek look.
Cons:
The polish stays on for roughly a week, which allows for less maintenance. However, if you like changing your colors often, it could be troublesome.
